Southern California is one of the top travel destinations in the United States. And consumer spending is strong, which means that people are spending an increasing portion of their income on recreation, travel and entertainment. So what do vacationers and business travelers alike need?
A place to stay!
Moreno Valley has three hotels in development. Located near the 60 Freeway and Day Street, the Residence Inn by Marriott will bring 112 new rooms to the City. In the same location is a 105-room Holiday Inn & Suites. Both are under construction and will open in late 2019.
The Fairfield Inn & Suites, also by Marriott, is under construction nearby and will add another 106 rooms. More hotel sites are in negotiation and will be announced soon.
Wonder what’s bringing all this hospitality development to Moreno Valley? One word – growth. Moreno Valley has seen a population explosion. Current population is more than 212,000, and it’s still growing by 5% annually. Nearly 20,000 residents have been added since 2010.
Tremendous job growth also drives this development. Moreno Valley has seen the creation of more than 17,000 jobs in the last five years. The business relocation of western corporate headquarters for Aldi Foods, Skechers USA and Deckers Outdoor (manufacturer of UGG boots) has generated an influx of corporate executives and clients, all needing a nice hotel room where they can rest their feet in the evening.
Another hospitality driver for Moreno Valley is the City’s location. Halfway between Los Angeles and Palm Springs, Moreno Valley provides easy access to popular tourist destinations. Centrally located in Southern California at the junction of SR-60 and I-215, Moreno Valley is an hour from Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego and three hours from Northern California, Arizona and Nevada. Planning on recreating at Lake Perris or attending the Coachella music festival? Or how about visiting Disneyland or the Temecula wineries? Whatever your destination, Moreno Valley has your hotel stay covered.
