The mission of the Department of Environmental Health is to enhance the quality of life in Riverside County through implementation of environmental health programs that protect public health and safety as well as the environment.

The County of Riverside Department of Environmental Health offers a wide range of services listed below:

District Environmental Service (DES): Handles Food Worker Cards, Food, Pools and Spas, Temporary Events, Vector Control, Mobilehome Parks, Organized Camps and Tobacco Retailers

Environmental Protection and Oversight (EPO): Handles Hazardous Materials, Land Use, Water Systems, Underground Storage Tanks, Solid Waste and Business Emergency Plans
